Former Super Eagles striker Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo, popularly known as Simy, has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Taee.

The towering Nigerian forward has confirmed the transfer, beginning another chapter in his impressive professional football career.

Simy, 34, is a powerful centre-forward who has built a reputation as a prolific goalscorer during his years in Europe and Saudi Arabia.

The Nigerian began his professional career in Portugal with Portimonense and Gil Vicente before moving to Italy, where he enjoyed a remarkable spell with Crotone.

At Crotone, Simy became the club's all-time leading goalscorer and produced one of the most impressive scoring seasons by a Nigerian striker in European football.

He scored 20 Serie B goals in the 2019/20 campaign, helping Crotone earn promotion to Serie A.

He subsequently featured for Salernitana, Parma and Benevento before moving to Saudi Arabia.

His time in Saudi Arabia has once again brought the goals, with Simy enjoying a prolific campaign with Al-Orobah, where he finished the season among the leading scorers and played a major role in the club's promotion push.

On the international stage,

Simy represented Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He earned four caps for the Super Eagles after making his international debut against DR Congo in May 2018 and was included in Nigeria's World Cup squad.

Now, the experienced striker begins a fresh challenge with Al Taee, bringing his experience, physical presence and goalscoring pedigree to his new club.
