SPORTS - Floyd MayWeather Jnr Defeats Andre Berto #MayWeatherBerto

Heavily favored Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Andre Berto in what could be the last fight of his career.
The boxers went 12 rounds but there was no upset, with Mayweather winning by decision at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.
Though the hype for the fight had been subdued throughout the week, Mayweather has stated the bout would be the last of his career.
He reiterated his intention to retire after the fight.
The fight was scored 117-111, 118-110, and 120-108, all in favor of Mayweather.
Mayweather came out throwing a high amount of punches, atypical of his calculated style.
But his defense remained tough and he retained the upper hand throughout much of the early going, escaping Berto’s aggressive jabs and dancing around while sneaking in solid shots.
Late in the fight, the boxers exchanged verbal jabs, Mayweather telling Berto to “shut up.”
In the end, that mattered little. Mayweather survived a flurry of Berto jabs in the fight’s final minute and held on, coasting to victory. He dropped to his knees at the center of the ring and took in the moment.

NEWS ALERT - Police find dismembered parts of a toddler in a park

A police sketch has been released in a bid to identify a toddler whose body parts were found scattered in a park.
The body parts of a toddler that were found in a plastic bag are believed to be that of African American toddler around two or three years old. The baby's remains that were found include a feet, the head and hands were found in a park in Chicago over the weekend.
The tot has no ear piercings, which may indicate that the child is male, but "at this point, we're not positive," Chicago police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said.
The innocent baby's torso has not been recovered but its body parts were put in plastic bags, which were weighted down and put in a lagoon at the park. It couldn't be ascertained immediately if the child was male or female but no piercings were found on the  baby's ears.
"We don't know the events that have brought us to this point but I can tell you that we're not going to rest until we solve this particular event," McCarthy told the news conference.
"There was certainly a crime committed, maybe not a murder, but that's irrelevant at this point because we need to find out what happened."
At least a portion of Garfield Park remained closed on Thursday as police continued to investigate.
Detectives, a marine unit and canine officers have been searching the park, draining a lagoon and searching for clues as to what happened to the baby and who committed the gruesome act on the baby.
Close to 150 calls with tips about the case have come in since Wednesday, police said.
The composite sketch was compiled with the help of photos from a medical examiner, X-rays and the child's remains.

NEWS ALERT - 1 month old baby accidentally given baby formula mixed with vodka instead of water

A one month old baby girl was raced to the children's hospital after her mother accidentally mixed her formula with vodka instead of water.
The infant had a blood alcohol level of almost 0.294 - almost four times the 0.08 driving limit - when she was admitted to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Her mother said the baby had consumed 2 oz of vodka unknown to her. She said after she gave the infant her bottle on Monday night, her hands and toes became red and her legs started shaking.

The 20-year-old mother, who has not been identified, told police that her 22 year old bf, Brian Smith, was staying with her and had emptied out a bottle of water on the kitchen counter and replaced it with the strong liquor without telling her.

The mother said she and Smith were in their apartment when he asked if the baby had been fed. She said she had used the water bottle she always uses in the kitchen. Smith then became upset and started yelling and said he had dumped out the water and had filled the bottle with vodka, intending to take it with him.

The complaint said he continued to yell at her, threw a bottle at her, pushed her and grabbed her by the neck so hard she was unable to speak.

According to the complaint the young mother filed against Smith, the argument and fight continued out in a hallway and into the parking lot, which is when police arrived.

When police arrived, they found Smith screaming and swearing at a group of about a dozen people gathered around a car.  Officers said Smith was holding open the rear door, and a 20-year-old woman was inside the car.

According to the complaint, Jones threatened officers by yelling, "Don't effing touch me," and went towards them with clenched fists. After a brief struggle with officers, he was handcuffed.

Documents state that an officer then spoke to the woman in the car, who was crying and sobbing uncontrollably.  That was when she then told the officer that Smith had choked her after she had used a water bottle filled with vodka to feed her 1-month-old child, Daviarre. Officers observed that the child's breathing was labored and an ambulance was called.

Police believe the incident was an accident, and the mother will likely not face any charges.

The baby's grandfather said it was all a big misunderstanding.
"It was an honest mistake, and then it led up to a bunch of other things, and he didn't know what to do, and he was scared,” Allen Jones said.

Smith is facing charges of strangulation and battery, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. He could face nearly 10 years in prison if convicted.

The baby was placed in intensive care but is expected to be released from hospital this week.

NEWS ALERT - Los Angeles Police find 3 kids dead in a car

Three boys, ages 8 to 12, were pronounced dead at the gruesome scene after their father repeatedly stabbed them to death in the back seat of their car outside a South Los Angeles elementary school on Wednesday before he apparently turned the knife on himself.
The father, said to be in his 30s, was found in his car bleeding from stab wounds to the chest, his dead sons in the back and a knife in the passenger seat, according to The Associated Press.

The father, whose name was not released, is the only suspect in the killings, police said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and will be arrested if he survives his wounds, Los Angeles Police Officer Matthew Ludwig said.

The motive was unclear and is being investigated. The father had no history of domestic violence charges or arrests, police said.
"These are horrific incidents," police Chief Charlie Beck said. "These are incidents that have scarred not only a community but the first responders that have to handle them."
John Sorrentino, whose furniture store is next to the crime scene, said he was the one who first spotted the bloody scene and called 911.
"I saw this man behind the steering wheel covered in blood," he said. "I got a little bit closer, and I saw a young child in the back seat and his eyes were half open and he was covered in blood.
"He was staring out, just in space. It's still etched in my mind."
Sorrentino said he then saw another motionless boy bent over a seat, and in the back, a leg of the third boy lying upright. That's when he ran inside his store and called 911.

The three boys did not attend the elementary school next to the crime scene, Beck said, but they are enrolled in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Beck said the boys' mother is deceased and that their stepmother was safe and being interviewed by detectives. It wasnt known whether the boys lived with their father.

Daniel Avalos, who works for Sorrentino and has five children between the ages of 3 and 12, said he saw paramedics pulling the man out of the car and one of the children still in the back.
"We're in South-Central, so stuff like that kind of happens around here. But the fact that it's children, that's heart-wrenching," Avalos said. "It's hard to think about."

NEWS ALERT - Teenager kills masked intruder holding gun to mum's head only to find out it was his dad

A teenager killed a masked intruder holding a gun to mum's head - only to learn it was his dad.
Malachi Heisler shot his father John Heisler after he broke into the house to speak to his estranged wife.

"I had about five to six seconds to make a decision," said the 18-year-old.
"By the time I did recognise him, the decision was made."
Police said Heisler, 46, forced his way into the home, smashing windows as he went, while decked out in full black tactical gear, including a ski mask and thigh holsters.
Investigators said they are continuing to probe the incident, however the teenager is not expected to face charges.
The attack came about five months after Malachi's mother, Jolene Andrews, obtained a temporary restraining order against him for another armed break-in attempt.
That order was later extended until May 2016, authorities said.
Pinellas County sheriff Bob Gualtieri said: "When you open the door and you see somebody dressed in all black, in fatigues, with a ski mask on and a gun in your mother's face - he did the right thing."
Heisler was not only prohibited from entering the home, but he was also banned from possessing weapons.

NEWS ALERT -Tragedy as Hotel Collapses In Delta state(See Details)

Delta state deputy Governor Kingsley Otuaro, who visited the scene of the incident attributed the cause of the collapse to structural defect.

He spoke by saying:

The state government has ordered that the hotel be closed immediately to avert further loss of lives. We are going to send engineers straight away.
